No, not the comfort factor. We redecorated our den, and wanted a reclining love seat, so the missus and I could curl up together. Tried a BUNCH of different brands, and finally made into the La-Z-Boy store. Found one we liked, Model 430-553, and since it wasn't in stock, we could get any fabric. Found a nice fabric, E8952, Color 33, not too feminine for the 'man cave' and supposedly very durable.

6 weeks later, the couch arrives. Very nice, very comfy. However, we notice the 'very durable' fabric starting to get those little pills. We call La-Z-boy with the problem, they send a guy out. He takes pictures, says they'll get back to us. So a week later we get a phone call, and the solution is to get one of those little clothing shavers and shave the pills. So this goes on and on, and areas we're shaving, are getting threadbare. Another call to the dealer, another visit, more photos, and again we wait. 6 WEEKS later, we get a call that says this is normal wear. NORMAL WEAR????? My a**!! More photos and several letters to the main office and in effect, we're brushed off.

Now, spending $1400 for a recliner, I would expect it to wear like iron. This is my 3rd La-Z-Boy, and the others all were indestructible. The last one, 12 years old, is in my nephews' bedroom/rec room, and still looks pretty good, minus a couple of stains.
