One month ago I received a letter from these people of LAAVP stating that 4 winners were selected and 3 have received their winnings. I was the last. They asked me to send 20 dollars in the Business Reply envelope they provided. I complied.

Two or Three days later the same company sent about 5 more duplicates of the first. The only difference was wording and the amount that I won which was at first over 3,500,000. It was never that afterwards. It would be something like 3,411,970 or 3,714,895. Each of them were professionally type and each asked for 20 dollars.

I ignored them and for a whole month they sent me letters warning me of forfeiture and such. They even went so far as to send me the letter by priority mail. Once, they sent one in a big brown envelope to get my attention. All warned me of forfeiture.

I did fall plunder to responding to the last, however, simply because they said it was the FINAL NOTICE. There are so many scams out there, that one can never be sure of the winning ticket. I sent the 20 dollars including a letter of my own stating all of the mistakes they have made if they were legit. I told them I would not send anymore money until they prove they are not trying to pull one over on me.

I have not received a response.

Things I have noticed amiss:
1) Non-readable signatures
2) No name with the signatures
3) Identical handwriting that was supposedly hand-written but
probably stamped
4) No contact number
5) Small print statement of single sentence saying 'This is not
a winning notice.'
6) The header telling you that you are sworn to secrecy
(for what?)
7) Changes in amount
8) Stickered Note of Republic
9) Sketched Note of Republic
10) Indention but not fill-in of Note of Republic
11) Statements such as 'We are not even supposed to be
contacting you again' stamped more than once on the letter(s)
