My complaint with LabCorp relates to the very rude & disrespectful treatment I received, from their employee, upon my last visit to a LabCorp Office(8109 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena Maryland 21122), on Thursday January 10th, 2008, between 2pm and 3pm.

Recently, my Employer drew my name, randomly, for a standard urine sample drug test. To comply, I went to a LABCORP testing facility. When I opened the front door, and entered the waiting area, I noticed a young girl (customer) at the receptionist window where the sign-in sheet is. The Labcorp receptionist was a female, as well, and she appeared to be the only employee on duty during my visit.

As I walked toward the reception window, the LabCorp woman told the young girl, in front of her, to "get out of the way" (possibly not her exact words, but it was something very close to that". She said it in a mean, demanding, and demeaning way. I felt very sorry for the young girl to be treated this way.

Then the Labcorp woman took my paperwork, and snapped at me that it (the paperwork) looked old. My employer had just given me the paperwork two days earlier. I said "what did you say?" and she repeated it. I said "I don't understand why it matters how old the paper looks". Then she said, in an unfriendly response, "I don't know if I can use this".

I just ignored her remark & she told me to go through a door. As I was going towards that door, the Labcorp woman began harassing the young girl by threatening her that she had better be able to supply the urine sample in sufficient quantity because if she didn't she would FAIL the urine test... and then, for good measure, the Labcorp lady made it clear to the young girl that if she failed the test, by not providing enough urine, then she would have to get new paperwork & re-take the test... and that she (the Labcorp lady) was not going to let the girl re-take the test because the urine testing stops at 3:30PM. This was all said like an angry parent yelling at their own child.

I really don't know who this employee thought she was talking to. Maybe a dog, because you don't talk to friends in that tone, and you don't talk to fellow employees like that, and you may have mental problems if you talk to customers like that. Her tone was filled with impatience, intolerance, and anger... oh, and every word, or phrase, she uttered was coated wtih a healthy layer of disrespect.

Once I had gone into the other room, as instructed, the Labcorp lady attended to me & told me what was expected of me, and what behavior was prohibited. Once inside the bathroom, I realized that my bladder was not all that full & I think my urine only filled the cup to about 1/16th of an inch below the line where it was supposed to be above. I figured it would either be ok, or it would not be ok. I went outside & gave it to the lady & she looked at it and said, in disgust, "what, did you have to squeeze it out".

Well, in fact, I did try to do that but I thought her remark was out-of-line, and unprofessional. That line may have gone over quite fine if it had been delivered by a jovial and kind person, but it went over just as it was intended in this case, like an insult.

I managed to get out of there with only having experienced about ten or twelve rude and abusive assaults directed at either me or the young girl I mentioned earlier.

I went to Labcorp's website, but I could not find any link on their website which would facilitate them hearing from people such as myself, and on their links, I also found no way to send them any information about my experience with their awful employee.

I know they have a lot going on. They have so many products and services that they are truly busy making money. They must not have time to hear complaints. I might remind them that there's this new thing... and it's called the internet. On this "internet", you can have a "website" and you can "permit" people to contact you via this new medium (called the internet). In fact, if you have one of these "websites", you don't have to make your whole website dedicated to your products, services, and testimonials. You can actually have a "comment" section, where people just write (type) a comment, and click "SUBMIT".

Filing my story at RipOffReport seemed the most effective way to reflect the situation since LabCorp offers "no way".
