I wanted to sign up at Labor Ready to escape the typical clerical work humdrum and to earn some income while on summer break. I went to the local labor ready office and was immediately told "I don't wanna discriminate, but we do stuff like janitorial, clean-up, and dishwashing here." Oh, Ok. Just because I'm female I can't do those things. Nice. And what's with a front desk receptionist using words like "wanna?" So classy. Anyway, I let it slide. I should have walked out when she was programming the American Tesco terminal and wanted to know my age. Employers can't ask that for any reason.

I took the behavior test, read the questions carefully, and like most honest people, failed. Of course, as others on this board have suggested, she couldn't tell me why. I'm going to hazard a guess and say it's because she couldn't program in my age, and because I'm not a druggie, brawler, boozer, or thief.

I think they implemented this test so they wouldn't have to do as much new hire paperwork. It's still a ripoff either way, and it smells of discrimination.
