As a former employee of this company I know first hand That they practice illegal and life threatening work ethics. I had been asked on numerous occaisions to falsify documents and change a work comp code. This would let Labor Ready charge the client nore and the worker less. In other words-if a company needs a roof tarred, obviously this is more labor intensive than say a hotel worker. There is more risk involved. You will need to pay the worker more money due to the work/labor/skill involved. It is not as dangerous to work in a hotel, so the cost is cheaper.

We would then charge the client the labor charge of the higher skill, but pay the worker the lower wage. What nice profit that branch would pull in! Look at how much money we are making for you!

When my manager found out we were about to be audited on our I-9 information, we pulled all records and flags those that needed to be filled out correctly. If the worker could not provide the info they were instantly "fired". If it was a "needed" worker-WOW! That info got filled out regardless of the copies of the needed documents (DL, SSC or State ID) After being asked to do this and not complying-I was fired for attempting to falsify documents-which I fought tooth and nail to have taken off my file. Up to and including filing complaint after complaint with the Labor Dept of Mo. Bottom line is-I cannot ethically feel right about a company that uses fraudulent practices to gain a buck on the back of a worker. These folks worked for us because they had no where else to work.
