Labs4Rescue No fence, no dog Killingworth Connecticut
What a frustrating organization to deal with. I contacted the coordinator about several dogs of interest to our family. I was asked to first complete an application and pay a fee before being able to talk to anyone.
Once the application was submitted, I spoke to three people about 5 dogs in total and the fact that we didn't have a fence doomed us to not being able to rescue a dog from this organization. Why couldn't they have asked me if I had a fence before putting me through the expense and time of submitting an application????? And the fact that they were infllexible was very frustrating.
I have been a caring, loving and responsible dog owner for close to 20 years. The fact that this group stood in the way of allowing another dog into our home and hearts was aggravating. I felt like they just wanted my application fee
My recommendation to anyone reading this is to find a dog through another avenue. This organization is not worth the difficulties and effort. We found a dog recently and are very happy that those from whom we adopted saw all of the qualities we had for a loving home for our new pet.

As a former adopter and Volunteer doing home visits for this orginization. I have done many home visits where the potential adopter did not have a fenced in yard and were allowed to adopt. Something dosnt sound right.
