Joined ladies workout express early this year for what I thought was a 6 month membership with option to extend for 2 years.

Contacted the local facility and told Vicki (manager/trainer/owner?) that I could not use equipment and stair steppers due to arthritis in my knees (bone on bone changes, ganglions and spurs) and knee/hip pain. She told me to get statment from my physician and bring to her. This I did. She became rude and aggressive and stated I was just trying to get out of paying for my membership! Told me she would see me in court.

I contacted National Fitness, the parent company(?) and was told by Karen that they did not want me to injure myself, and all I needed was a physicians statement, on their form, and have my doctor fill it out. This I did. My doctor faxed it to them, signed, on 10/18/06 and they still deducted fee from my checking account. I notified them again by fax that I was ending the contract as per the specified manner on their contract and notified my bank not to allow further withdrawals.

Today, 11/10/06, I received a phone call from National Fitness (Dave) and he said he expected a call from me "shortly".

Will update after speaking with Dave at National Fitness.
