I became a member of ladies workout in 2004, when I signed the contract I was never informed that the membership will be automatically renewed. Unfortunately it was in the fine prints. Once my year was up, I stopped going, I never received any complimentary letter for renewal or cancellation, I assumed the contract was terminated. Over the last year, ladies express continued to charge my account. I immediately called and cancelled the membership, they were rude and did not care that they have been taking money from me. I am not asking for my money back, I take responsability for not reading the contract, but as consumers, we are trusting the company to let us know about their policies.
After I cancelled the membership, I received a letter from National fitness finacial system. stating that I owed 29.95 dollars, since I cancelled in the middle of the month. I have received numerous nasty and rude calls, from them and they have threaten to damage my credit, they even hung up on me. I have been rip off for more than a year, I have lost over $600 dollars, and now they are harrasing me for $29.95. I find this unfair, and they have absolutely no compassion or sympathy for hard working consumers.
