I belong to a Ladies Workout Express. I have 5 months left on my contract. I like it there and go 3-4 times a week.

My husband and I are moving 99.19 miles from my LWE. The closest LEW facility in my new town is 26.99 miles away. Those places are unrealistic for me to travel to.
I have contacted National Fitness Financial Systems numerous times to discuss my Membership/Contract. I told them my story and they told me they needed certain information in order to cancel my contract.
I faxed them a letter and proof of my move. I was told that I could send them anything with my new address, the date and my name on it. So I did that. I actually sent in 2 things that was on their "approved list".
Every time I call, I am told they didn't receive any information. I have re-faxed my paperwork to them 4 times. I even mailed it last week. They still didn't get it. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was disconnected. I am sure that was intentional! When I called back, I got a totally different person.
I feel I am getting the run around. They are still taking out the monthly fee even though my contract states I can cancel if I meet the criteria in the "Member's Relocation" clause-which I do.
I talked to the owners of my Ladies Workout Express and they told me they couldn't help me.
Help!

I had called NFFS every day, sometimes calling up to 3 times per day. I had to fax my information to them not once but over 8 times! How ridiculous!!

After they (finally!)received verification of my move, they still played games with me. But I was persistant and it paid off for me. I called multiple times per day, every day, averaging 45 min-1.5 hours per phone call. I told NFFS that I was not hanging up until I had my membership deleted. I finally spoke to 2 women who were actually helpful. They even called me back to verify they received my faxes! I was able to show them proof of my move (3 things to be exact) and they cancelled my membership on 12/20.
If you move and need your membership cancelled, BE PERSISTANT. DO NOT GIVE UP!! Call as many times as needed. It is very frustrating that these companies (Lady of America & Nat'l Fitness Financial Systems ) play games. If you move and there is no center near your new home, they have no choice but to cancel your membership. It just takes time, patience and persistance. Good Luck to all who are still having problems.
I will NEVER join another fitness club affiliated with Lady of America or Nat'l Fitness Financial Systems. EVER!!!

Resend the information to them via certified mail, that way you will get a recept back and if they say again that they didn't get the stuff you will have proof of who signed for it. Good luck.
