Complaint Review: Lafnac Digital Computers Ltd

having saved some money to go on a 40th birthday holiday march 2008 i was looking to purchase a laptop for my daughter to use for her study later in the year at law school. lafnac computers had a half page advertisement in one of the new york tourist guides so we went along to the store for a look at what was on offer, to our supprise there was a sale on for one day only on laptops how lucky could we be i thought seeing a very impressive display of various electrical itemsan extra 30% off bearing in mind that all electrical goods are generally half price to what we pay in the uk i enquired about a certain model of laptop and before you could say lafnac i had purchased one for around $800 including tax. carry case and leads, back at the hotel a quick charge of the battery and i found myself surfing u.s.a at least the internet so i decided to check the uk price structure of new purchase yep you guessed it i could have bought the same one for $500 equivilent in uk. not to be out done i checked the laptops specification and quickly found not only had i paid over the odds but did not even have what i was sold in the shop. next day i went back and complained and was told no refund ony exchange eventually we left with a better spec. laptop but found out at home a stcker displaying $549.00 underneath battery. i think lafnac is aptly named for the store as the owner is probably laughing at us all
