First, I'd like to say that the store has always been helpful and attentive. The service dept. however, (whom the store will not comment on, but simply provide a phone number);

A) not answer the phone, EVER!
B) not return the first message.
C) not keep their appointment.
D) not tell you they are breaking their appointment.

They speak to you as though they are doing you a favor by even talking to you. As the owner of a service company for 20+ years, I can tell you that if my team treated customers this way, I would not have a company. There's no excuse. There's no rebuttal. You are an absentee owner and your company is run by the employees who frankly, don't care. Good luck to you sir or madam.
