lAmericas Locksmith services WE ordered 3 locks to be rekeyed. when they arrived they couldn't be rekeyed and needed to be replaced. they were told to replace 3 but they did 5 that were not authorized. it when from $76 to over chaska, Minnesota
We own a house in another state and wanted it re-keyed. We called America's locksmiths and said we needed 3 locks re-keyed but wouldl have ot do-ordinated with a worker to let them in. From tht point they called us every day at least once and sometimes more, about setting the appt. for the house and continu8ed to tell them to work aout a time with one of our workers and to stop calling, but they didn't. That should have been a clue,
The day they got there they said the 3 locks could not be rekey but needed to be replaced at $69.00 a lock. It was reilterated that we only wanted the deadbolts replaced. When he finished he had done 5 locks replaced. 3 dead bolts and 2 on the door knobs that we never lock. We complained to the man over the phone that it was only to be three locks and all he continued to say was "5 locks" and that was all. So started out at $76.00 and ended up at over $550. which included the 2 locks that we did not authorized, noe were we told in advance about them.
This is an obviuos rip off scheme and seeing how we were badgered by their phone calls we are not their only victims. This unfortunately is a professional scam.
