I could not be more disappointed in the service I received at Landmark. A restaurant valet parker had gotten my car stuck in a parking garage; it wouldn't go into gear. I had it towed to Landmark. After 10 days, they told me, among other things: That my parking pin was irreparably damaged, that my transmission was completely "ruined" and HAD to be replaced ["There is just no way around it," says the voicemail], and that my transfer case was also probably beyond repair as well.

They could not even figure out how to get it into gear. Their estimated cost for replacement of everything was $10,000 to $13,000, which was more than the car was likely worth. They charged me $525 for the diagnosis. I took it to a reputable local transmission shop.

In less than 24 hours, for an additional $525, that shop determined that the parking pin was fine and that the transmission and transfer case were not damaged in any way. They reattached the detached shifter cable, filled the transmission with fluid, took the transfer case out of neutral.... and the car has functioned perfectly so far for more than a week and over 200 miles. "Sir, there is nothing wrong with your transmission."

Why couldn't a JEEP DEALERSHIP give me this information? Why couldn't a Jeep dealership at least figure out how to get my car moving? I asked for my $525 to be refunded. They have ignored me. I strongly recommend against anybody using Landmark's service department.

Never, Ever Go To a Dealership "Shop" For Non-warranty Service!

 The FRAUD and DECEPTION which is commonplace on the sales floor of the Sleazy American Car Business has now seeped into the shop just like raw sewage on a downhill street. When you go to a dealer for service, you subject yourself to PRICE GOUGING, incompetent parts changers who are paid commission to run up your bill and poor customer service.

Those are the FACTS of the stinking garbage of the car business and those are exactly what you experienced! Never, ever go into a dealership for ANY non-warranty service...ever!
