I am submitting a copy of my latest communication attempt with landmark merchant solutions for the world to see, in hopes of saving someone from the hell I am going through. This company promised me a 15 page custom website, with web support, and in 14 days, to include web hosting, and a credit card merchant machine to accept credit cards, and a check guarantee, check acceptance program so my company could take checks as a form of payment.

The arrangement was to be for a 4 year lease, which was to total $2500.00 total for the 4 years, plus any merchant transaction fees. It is now 7 months later, and so far I have been gouged for more then $1015.49. They over charge my bank account monthly, and cause me to overdraft which I incur additional substantial penalties. They are rude, condescending, and no nothing of customer service. I explained to their salesman I am not a computer guru or techy, I am a novice at all this stuff. I submitted all my requests as advised in easy to read english.

I was given a shell of an incomplete website which didn't contain even 1/4 of the content I submitted, and was advised after 3 months, that I didn't submit the info properly, and that I apparently, am the only one who has a problem with this, everyone else loves the program. It is very simple to use, and is totally straight forward. They refuse to support me, and to this day, I have no website, and now thanks to them, I have no money either.

I am once again pissed off as hell! I have ripped all my hair out. I am at wits end with this messed up "program"! Your administrative site is a bunch of hogwash! I have printed out the easy to use 150+page little guide, and not even it is helpful in most areas. I had my page just the way I wanted it.

Then, I pull it up and for some reason it has changed. I didn't even touch it. From the time I left it, how I wanted the home page, left for work, came home, and looked at it again, it was missing stuff I had published.

Then, another few days later, I finally get it back to how I wanted it, I publush the changes, I go to work, I come home, I pull it up, and for some reason, the categories column is really fat/wide again. I never did that! So, it makes the page extra wide, and you have to scroll to see the whole page. I don't want that! Why can't this thing be stable? Then, the first time I did the changes to it, I was in the copt center, and I could actually see how it really was on my live page, and it allowed me to highlight the welcome to zoofari gallery on the home page, and increase the font size. After it did whatever it did while I was at work, I can't get it back to how I had it. Now, all I can see is all the SS:link $store crap.

I was promised a functioning website with support by George when I signed up. I know you are gonna say that I am the only one who has any problems, I didn't submit the info in the correct fashion, I didn't do this, and I didn't do that.....It has been going on 7 months since I signed up with this horrific scam, and I still don't have a website that is functional.

You people have no live support, you have no email addresses, you have no phone or fax number, you have no livechat support, you all have nothing by way of support other then non helpful junky user guides, and non helpful staff.

You all were gracious enough to grant me a revision...which consisted of perhaps swapping or adding a photo, or adding or changing some text. Which you didn't even do, all you did was widen a category box, and then put it back to how it was. That is not a revision.

Then whenever I ask for anything, you tell me it's gonna cost me $50 an hour. Now, let me ask you something, and tell me if this isn't the largest f_ck-over ever done on someone.....you have some snake oil salesman work over someone naive who just wants to build a web business, tell her about how great this company is, how their design department will work with them, how their site will be in 14 days, how 3 months later, it still isn't ready, then she's told that she's not so brite, and she's the only one with problems, and how simple it is and straight forward it is, and then they just dump it in her lap, meanwhile, her bank account is being charged $22.50 per month for some stupid check acceptance program, of which she has never used, because she has no website. Then she's being charged $87.57 per month for a credit card machine which she has never used, because she has no website, and then she's being charged $35 a month for a service which does not support her in her goals of building a website. FOR 7 MONTHS!

That's $145.07 a month for something that done nothing but aggravate and torment me. That's $1015.49 in 7 months, when snake oil "George" told her the program would cost a total of $2500 for the 4 years of web hosting, website, and credit card machine leasing and check acceptance program, plus transaction fee's. Christ, at this rate....at this rate, it is gonna cost me $6963 for the 4 years, plus the merchant fee's. Oh yeah, I guess at this rate, I'll never have any of those, because I'll never have a website that functions.

Now, lets add insult to injury....shall we? Why not throw some salt on that wound....ohh no, Krista....they say.....We will no longer assist you with your site, but Julie can be retained for $50 an hour! ha! I have left repeated emails for George and phone messages, all of which have gone unanswered. I am being over charged by Integrated Leasing every month, and it is impossible to reach a human at either their or that stupid 24 hour check center place. I left 12 messages for them, what a joke, and no one has ever called back, and you can not get a human when you call.

I want you to shut down my store, cancel integrated leasing, cancel check center, and quite frankly, you can all go to hell! I am gonna contact any and every consumer advocacy group, email all the rip off consumer sites, contact the newspapers, and try to rally up some support from all the other people you have ripped off and file a class action lawsuit against all of your scam companies, you, integrated leasing, and check center.

I am broke beyond repair thanks to your lovely establishment. you cause me $120.00 in overdraft fee's each month, plus the additional $60.00 in NSF fee's that you and integrated leasing then help yourself to out of my bank account once I finally am able to catch it back up to 0. Then, you have the audacity to try and charge me $50 an hour...so what, you can tell me how retarded I am? your company knows nothing about integrity or customer service, it only knows how to serve itself and fatten its own bank account with disregard to whom ever it happens to be raping, pillaging and stealing from! you all are ruthless and heartless.

So please, if there is anyone else out there going through this, please lets ban together and start a class action lawsuit against them, they promise a smooth business set up, they guarantee a nightmare!

Please, if you are tired of the crap these companies are giving all of us,then lets pull together to stop them.

I know the BBB is useless but contact them anyway just so it will be on record.

Please contact the State Attorney General's office also and make sure the calls go to the official complaints in your state and their state.If their are enough complaints they will investigate and close their doors.

And Please,contact all the major media in your area and the ones near their offices, the more the media covers,the less chance they will close their door and reopen under another name.
I filed complaints with the BBB on both companies and found Landmark has had 23 complaints in the past 12 months,and Ladco had several also, Ladco is passing the buck to Landmark. If you are in anyform of business with another company then you are just as liable. Know who your partners are.

During doing research on this I found in Feb 2002, FTC filed a complaint on Landmark Merchant Solutions, AKA- Certified Merchant Services for unfair and deceptive practices related to the marketing of credit and debit card merchant accounts to small business nation wide.
They settled out of court before being found guilty and apparantly changed their name. We need to stop this from ever occuring again.
