Complaint Review: Larry Dela Phillips

I answered an email asking if anyone would be interested in advertising for "Budweiser Drink" by having a graphic placed on their car, and be paid 300.00 a week to advertise.

Then I was told to wait til I recieved a check via USPS. and that the decal would be installed and removed at my address. The check is for 1726.00 and included a letter I was to follow instructions.

(When I saw I was to use western union I became aware this may be a scam)

On the envelope it came from Brett N. Wasser, 3912 Havanna Street, Level Crossing, NC 27030

the email had the name Larry Dela Phillips, 

in th letter I was to cash this check, go to a western union and recievers name: David Pike, 418 N 12th St, Nashville Tn 37029, keep 300.00 send 1300.00 plus transfer fee of 126.00.

Afterward instructions say to text to 760-282-4009 my first and last name, amount sent, 10 digit MTCN# and date I would like this to be placed on my car.

My bank would not cash it, they have strict policys of anything from the internet, and told me I would be liable to the bank for the entire amount of 1726.00.

The check has the names Ronnie Baker & Sheryl Baker, 7495 County Road 352, Blanket Tx 76432

Texas Bank, PO Box 1429 Brownwood Tx 76804, date written out 12/12/2013, check number 653

I am always checking out jobs in my area, looking for some additional income, but I do not want to get scammed either.
