Larry Denis Homerecruiting.com Rip-Off, Possible Scam, Dishonest, Unprofessional, Fraud, Miami Beach Florida
In May 2008, I came across a website which seemed to offer a ligitimate training program to recruiting from home. The website offers a 100% risk-free Iron-Clad Garantee in which the merchant offers a full refund after 180 days - no questions asked if buyer does not make a claimed income.
Though there was inconsistent refund information posted on the site - 100% refund vs. double money back - considering that I had a guarantee refund policy, I went ahead with the purchase.
I had forgot about this purchase due to long working hours and taking care of my kids until in Sep 2008, an infomercial on TV that happened to be on when my husband flipped through the channels remined me of the homerecruiting program I purchansed back in May 2008.
I decided not to do the program and was truely not remembering if I had passed the refund period thinking that it was a within-60 or 90-days policy, I went online the next day, Sep 8, and sent an email to the merchant asking if I could return the materials and where to. Merchant replied with an agreement to refund after Nov 4, 2008.
With a bit of doubt in my mind in regards to what could happend if merchant were to refuse a refund after 180 days, I went online to search for scam. Several results turned up in a search result of keywords "Larry Denis Scam", one of which is filed on the ripoffreport site.
I immediately emailed the merchant asking for a refund. I wrote,

The materials will be sent back to you at the address you have given me. I will ship with delivery confirmation and will give you the #.
Thanks,
Merchant replied with a furious response,

you have not seen anything yet.....when a person does not live up to their word and a legally binding agreement i will fight them to the gares of hell to enforce....I agreed to refund your money as per the agreement you signed and that was not good enough for you so all is off the table and be prepared to defend yourself with tens of thousands of dollars in lawsuits, liens, salary garnishment and possible imprisonmet.....
I also found out that the address that the merchant told me to send back the materials to is not the same as those posted on the merchant's website. Return address is 1200 W. Ave #1401. The merchant's address is 1200 W. Ave #1402. Merchant could refuse a refund claming that the materials were never received, as experienced by one member of the scam site, http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t...ht=larry+denis
I realize that the merchant's 180-days refund policy may possibly be another way to prevent buyers from reversing the charge on the credit card in which the majority of dispute period offered by most credit card companies is 60 days.
I am very disappointed with the merchant's unprofessional communications having discovered another unethical online merchant. I don't belive that I would receive a full refund from this merchant if I wait after 180 days.
I sent back all the merchant's materials with a signature confirmation to the address posted on the merchant's site: #1402 yesterday. The postal worker recommended that I would receive a notification of the recipient denies the package.
My credit card company, Bank of America, has a 120-days dispute period. Unfortunately, my dispute is 10 days after the grace period, therefore, I wrote a letter to them to dispute the charge.
I will file a complaint with the ripoffreport and BBB site.
This merchant is dishonest and unprofessional. Avoid this merchant!
