My experience with Larry H Miller Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Surprise Arizona is one I will not soon forget. I visited this dealership on two different occasions, the first was on February 1st 2016. I was interested in purchasing a new Dodge Challenger, I delt with one of the sales people and one of the sales managers (both which don't work there any longer and one who called me several weeks later to appologize for how the dealship treated me and caused him to quit his job and find another career), anyways, a price was decided and a deal was made for me to trade-in my 2014 BWM 328i for a 2016 Dodge Challenger SXT. A literal month went by and i recieved a call from the dealership stating that they couldn't finance me and I would have to bring the car back. I was so pissed and heartbroken. So i returned the vehicle and reclaimed my BMW and went on my way. Two months later i decided to give Larry H Miller Dodge Chrysler Jeep Surprise another chance to sell me a car, I figured since I had better credit and zero debt compared to the last time i tried to buy a car from them I should have no issues, however, this time I was going to trade in my wifes 2006 Honda Civic in stead of the BMW, since there was very little left owed on the car for a trade-in. Again I delt with a salesperson named Colin and a sales manager named Tony, we once again settled on a car and a price with the trade-in offer, but this time I decided to not take delivery of the car until I was 100% financed on the deal because I didnt want to have to bring back another car. So the next day I get a text message from Tony the sales manager asking me for my wifes social security number, I asked Tony why they needed it and he told me it was so they could get the payoff amount for my wifes Honda Civic we were trading in. Reluctantly i gave him the information and claerly and specificly stated DO NOT under any circumstances run my wifes credit, we are trying to buy a house and the inquiry would ruin our chances of buying or financing a house, Tony agreed and stated they would not run any credit inquiries on her social security numer. Two days later Tony text messaged me and said that the financing was done and I could come pick up my new car, I would just need to bring a copy of my paycheck stub and my wifes paycheck stub, I then texted Tony back and asked why i needed my wifes paycheck stub? I recieved no answer back for several hours, I then texted Tony again and asked "Please tell me that you didnt run my wifes credit or put her on the loan!", about an hour later Tony finally respones with yes we ran her credit and put her on the loan. I was furious!!! I went to the dealership that night after work and had my wife meet me there, we spoke to Tony and he stated that he was very sorry but there was miscomunication with the finance department and they accidentaly ran my wifes credit and put us on a joint application. Needless to say we lost our chance to buy a house because of their "miscommunication", my wife was devistated but figured well since they ruined our chances at buying a house I might as well get the car I wanted. We submitted all the documents requested by the finance department and they said I should be able to take delivery in about a day or so. Two days later on Friday I recieved a call from Tony at the dealership and he tells me that they can't get the financing done because my paycheck stub didn't look offical enough to present to the credit union that was doing the lending, I asked what do you mean it doesn't look offical enough?! It's my officail Pay stub from my company! Tony said that the dealerships financing department manager declined to send it to the lender because it looked like I had forged the pay stub. I explained to Tony that my pay stub was legitimate and he needed to do the deal other wise I would be in contact with a lawyer since they violated the Federal Fair credit reporting Act and violated a federal law by running my wifes credit without her permission, Tony replied by stating he could no longer speak to me because I brought up using a lawyer to prosicute. I angerly hung up the phone and called Alhambrah Credit Union who was doing the lending for this so called deal, I spoke to the woman in charge of auto loans and she stated that there had been an offer made for the auto purchase, however the dealership never submitted any documents to finish the deal. Needless to say I tried contacting the dealerships financing manager and the general manager with no avail. If you live in the Surprise area in Arizona STAY AWAY from this dealership, I went to Avondale Dodge the following week and purchased a new Challenger with no issues what so ever and it was one of the best car buying experiences yet.
