“...When one feeds swindling practices, one is not only being unacceptably irresponsible, but also is endangering the welfare of the people- the SO hard working common man"....

We leased a car & were told by the moment of closing the agreement that for 3 years, the SUM of all services, filters, oil, cooling and general checkups, which we were obligated to do at a HONDA facility according to them- would totalize more than $ 795. If we pay it at that moment the US$ 795,  it would be a HUGE bargain according to them, given that in a long run it would cost more. We, exhausted as we were, given that one of their tactics is to exhaust the customer to the top in everything, did not research about their reputation & accepted it by trusting the swindler- a member of the top management.

Insiders @ Honda later on informed me that given that I could drive max 36,000 miles in 3 years, all these services together would not reach in the VERY worst case scenario, US$ 300.

Please, do NOT go to this Merchant or ever accepts any counter offer of theirs. Always sleep on the matter if any and if possible get to a "coma stage" before doing any business with them. Check on Yelp hundreds of 1 Star reviews that Yelp so happily obliviates under their "super" software sorting system.

My experience is that LHopkins will do their best to swindle you around- thinking of you as an inferior being-- by "justifying" their "immaculate reputation" as being in the market for a long time.

Jim (the one who posted the comment, not my ex Brother in law) never ever has anything usefull to say.

He just wants to abuse you for what he sees as your lack of sense and any error in judgment he determins you commited.

He is:

1st Invariably Wrong

2nd Always abusive towards the victim

3rd And the 1 time in a thousand he picks the correct side (not this time though ) a Horrible Troll

I regret that humanity has allowed WIFI near bridges, if we outlawed it nasty things in the dark wouldn't be on the net.

Oh well

Sounds like you paid for a maintenance agreement

It really is impossible to tell from your post because you didn't provide the paperwork you signed. However, from your description it sounds like you signed for some pre-paid maintenance agreement. Take a look at your lease contract and see what the cancelation procedures are for that maintenance agreement. If they won't cancel it, contact the CFPB and file a complaint. If that doesn't work, contact an attorney to see what remedies you have available to you. Good Luck. BTW, Jim is right. Vehicle leases are rip off's except in very limited circumstances. It is the primary way dealerships work over their consumers - and not in a good way.

Ok, and then....

No...Don't Ever Get Into A CAR FLEASE!!!

Why would you ever agree to such a stupid deal? Here's how putrid a deal a CAR FLEASE is: YOU agree to pay certain BOGUS front end charges, YOU agree to pay certain BOGUS back end charges. YOU agree to pay whatever they want for so-called excess wear and tear charges in which THEY KEEP the money and send the car to auction rather than repair those items, which are greatly exaggerated in the first place to maximize their "TAKE" from you. Then we come to this matter. Did you ever rent a car? Did you ever need to pay for oil changes, registration or tires? Hell no! It wasn't your car. That car which you obtained in that stupid CAR FLEASE isn't your car either! You do not own it!! Why would you agree to ANY deal in which you are paying for things the car's owner should cover? Never, ever get into a CAR FLEASE. There is much more profit in a CAR FLEASE than a buy as you are now seeing! Guess who pays that extra price gouging profit?
