Purchased 2000 Mercedes ML55 with 65,000 miles from Larry Miller Dodge on 7/6/13. I was sold a full warranty for 3 years or up to 100,000 miles. Received refund for warranty for the warantee a couple of weeks later stating they were not able to execute. Without the warranty I would have never bought the car. 3 days after the purchase, I brought the car in because the A/C was not working. This was before the refund of warranty came back to me. They kept the car for two days and I had to rent a car at my expense. When I showed a "star" in the windshield, they gave me the number of where I could get it fixed. They kept the car for 2 days and said they replaced the O rings. I asked for paperwork twice and was told that there was none. This seemed shady.

After I had received the refund of the warranty, the A/C was not working and I took to a Mercedes dealership. They told me that the dealership I purchased the car from had to know about the compressor being bad because there was dye everywhere. After $1,720 they replaced my compressor.

I went back to the dealership and spoke to the used car manager and was told that Arizona law states that cars are sold as is and that the 3 day or 500 mile implied state warranty is only for engine, transmission or a major failure of the car. He told me that he had to pay for the repairs in the repair shop and after they checked the lines twice, he told them he was not going to pay for any more checks.

I repeat I would have never bought the car without the warranty and they would not budge on the cost to fix the car. This is my first of many postings before I pursue legal action.
