I visited Larry Miller Toyota In the first week of January 2009 and spoke with used car salesman Jason Sneel. I told Jason I was looking for a 2004 Highlander Limited and I was working with a max budget of 15k.

On January 7th, early evening, Jason called me and informed me he had a 2004 Highlander Limited coming in on trade. He told me it was a little old couple from Sun City, Arizona trading in the Highlander that wanted a Prius on the lot. The best part is he could get me into the the SUV for 15k out the door. He stated the dealership would still be making money with the amount they gave on the trade and then selling it to me at 15k-out the door. My wife and I were so excited. He told me we could take care of everything in an hour or so that he had to go get the SUV. I explained to him that I was paying cash a second time and I would see him then.

The next part is where it gets ugly... A half hour or so later, my wife had a couple of questions I had forgotten to ask in my earlier conversation with Jason, so I called him back. When we spoke, he informed me that the car was going to be a little more than 15k out the door beucause it needed tires and brakes as well as the Toyota Certification. I ask "how much more??" He ask me to hold on and he would check. I understand if I'm buying a car from a dealer that the dealer needs to make sure that possess the required standards for resale. When Jason got back on the phone, he informed me that the price would be significantly higher and a minimum of $1,700.00 more.

This type of interaction in the car buying process is what gives car sales such a bad name. I am a retired banker who made well in the 1990's and early 2000's by working only referrals by the last 3 years I had my company. If I employed a sales person who made these types of fraudulent statements, he/she would not be employed by my company any longer. Tenure would hae nothing to do with my decision.

Good Luck Larry Miller selling cars with these types of people in your so called "experienced sales staff"

LARRY MILLER TOYOTA in Peoria Arizona by Carol, of Glendale Arizona, on 5-9-2008. Her Ripoff Report was modified on 11-30-2008. I believe it is RIP OFF REPORT #331575. (You can probably 'GOOGLE' that!)

Try 'GOOGLING' this- RIP OFF REPORT #331575.

It should come up and you can read about the FORGERY that she reported!! It was on the 2nd page here a few minutes ago!!!

P.S. Does Jason, the person you mentioned in your Ripoff Report, happen to weigh about 300+ pounds? The reason I ask is because there was a Jason who worked at a Larry Miller Toyota Dealership in Denver back in the Fall of 2000. He seemed VERY sneaky to me. Let me know if this is the same 300+ pound Jason.

Thank you.
