Larry & Patricia Ostrom Million Dollar Slumish Landlords. Ripoff Portland Oregon
1. Million dollar landlords, should know better. One of them is a licensed Real Estate Agent--PAT OSTROM. They rent properties that have major problems for higher than market value rents in neighborhoods.
2. Major things are broken, but when the tenants becomes "enlightened", they play dumb.
3. They won't fix it either. They will give you a long time run around until you either sue or move out, most former tenants do both.
4. Fireplaces that don't work. The entire insides of at least two tenants fireplaces were completely gone!, But they were both lead to believe that it was only a damper problem and that it would be fixed. Over a year later, the problem had not been fixed.
5. Cheap appliances that are bought at "Spencer's Second Hand Store". These appliances are not working, and dangerous. Self-cleaning ovens that the seals are broken on so that when they are used, the smoke up the units. Old tired refrigerators, rusting, icing the food inside or bad temps spoiling your food. Out dated washers and dryers that waste energy.
6. Repeated calls, letters, and E-mails are ignored by Larry & Patricia Ostrom. other tenants stunts have happen as well. The census is that Larry Ostrom is showing serious signs of Alzheimers or Dementia.
Lost of paperwork.
Lost of your rent checks.
Completely forget to give you min. 24 hrs notice on work that is to be done.
Forget that he told you he would fix it.
When you call with problem, he won't hear your needs, but complain about his problems.
Claims he will pay 1/2 what you buy and install into your unit, paint, fencing, etc, but after a month or two you won't see any funds back.
Plays one tenant against the other.
Dislikes women, and voices a opinion on how tenants wives have the husbands hen picked. (those are the nice words).
7. Drive by Mr. Millionaire's house and see how good he lives:

You said, 'contact the property management company for all your concerns and questions'.
If I was a successful businessman in the real estate business, renting or otherwise, I would not answer a complaint like this by whining about your address being posted. I would seek to make the tenants a little more satisfied or prove that the proprt steps have been taken. I rent from a real estate agent - and anytime we have an issue with furnished appliances, lost rent checks, etc. we go straight to the agent.
These are serious allegations, and if you don't want the readers (like myself) to think them true, you'd better come up with a better reply than that.

If you write about somebody you better have your facts. I find it totally unacceptable to publish my addresses. If your not happy with same day service, to find out you caused the problem I can't do any better than that. Please contact the property management company for all your concerns and questions.
