Larson Design Group is all smiles in trying to lure people into employment. Then once they have you there it is a sweat shop mentality. Forget family values. That is only for senior management. From Director on down you are nothing but dirt used to enrich senior management. The company is like the government. You have to work hard to produce to support the incredible number of overhead staff who produce nothing billable. It is like workers having to support the huge American welfare rolls.

Do not say anything or you will be gone in an instant. LDG did an internal survey. Guess what? Trust is bad and gets worse every month. You cannot trust anyone because you might say something to someone you thought you could trust and next thing you know they are disparaging you as they kick you out of the door.

You would have to be a fool or an idiot to work for this two faced firm. They sexually harass from what I have heard. They have staff performing illegal acts and nearly loose their license to work in a state. They begged to not be banned and fired several staff to apease the state but the underlying problem was never resolved internally.

Drawings are not properly reviewed as required by law burt sealed with out the sealer going through the work as required.

They over charge clients so when things are slow the staff can bill to the closed projects because there is so much fluff on each one they can get by with months and months of the staff doing nothing but billing to old jobs. At the same time other staff are working under sweat shop conditions. It just is poor management. Not surprising seeing as the senior staff are glorified drafters who were at the right place at the right time to inherit the company. Not a real business clue on what to do.

P.S. "Employee Owned" only really applies to the senior management. Tthe rest are just like any empolyee of any other company and there at will and that will is arbitrary. Do one thing to try and improve the company and you are out as the management can'tm handle a subordinate with a better idea that they can't claim for them self.
