Heard ticking noise coming from engine. took car to Robert Larson dodge to have fixed since I did buy the extended warranty. While car was in the shop I did some investigations on the web. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. I found out that the 2.7L engines were giving out all over the place because of a faulty oil valve tube.

The engine is heating up to a high degree, causing the oil to become sludge and the oil cannot flow throught the tube causing the engine to fail.. I received a phone call from Paul at Larson dodge saying that I had sludge in the engine and that they could not do anything about it. He suggested that I have another oil change and have them put STP in my car. That would loosen up the sludge and make the noise go away. I did just that. I picked my car up on Saturday and on Monday the engine gave out.

They are saying it is my fault therefore the warranty is no good. When I bought the car in 2001, Larson Dodge did not disclose that the car was a rental nor did it disclose that Chrysler had thousands of complaints against them for the very same reason that I do now. I would never have bought a car with that kind of reputation. I have only put 40,000 miles on the car, still owe $10,000 and have a car that will cost me another $9,000 to fix. Rip-offs.
