The latest buzz about the "World For A Dollar" campaign is that for 15 minutes every day, you have the chance to book a hotel room for one dollar.

The catch (so they claim) is that you don't know when that 15 minutes will occur.

The REAL Catch? It doesn't matter. It is impossible to book the room.

I was dedicated to take advantage of this offer, so what I did was set a timer to beep every 5 minutes. Each time it beeped, I checked the website. That way, even if the deal started exactly after I checked, I would have around 11 minutes to complete my order.

While doing some surfing on the internet, I decided to check in. No luck. about 3 minutes later, I check in again. Its on, but only 4 minutes left??!!

So I enter in my city and dates of stay, all of a sudden, A FLASH MOVIE starts. It takes about a minute or more, and there is no way to skip it. Once the hotel selections come up, I press another button, and another flash movie starts.

All in all, there were 3 flash movies, and in the end, you are left with about 15 minutes to enter in all of your info (home address, billing address, credit card info, ect).

It is IMPOSSIBLE to book a room.

I'm starting a website and I will be notifying the press about this scam.

Good luck to this company who obviously is deceitful. You wont last long.
