This report is for US citizens headed to Chile for the eclipse, with a connecting flight out of the Santiago Airport there. Beware of a man in the LATAM check-in area posing as a Handler there. He will approach you, call you "My Friend," and then scam you out of $60 USD equivalent in Chilean pesos. He does not wear a LATAM uniform, but he knows all the women behind the LATAM counters and works with them. (He kissed some on the cheek.) They know him and they let him cut the line to get you through. I suspect that they conspire with him and share his winnings at the end of the day. (Do not let him help you to get Chilean pesos out of the ATM.) While it was my fault that I was stupid to get scammed, it is also LATAM's fault that it lets its employees rip us of with this man. (I filed a Complaint with LATAM, but got the usual 'cut & pastel reply. And so I post on the Ripoff Report.)
