Lauder Inc, Jack Williams Recieved a check that seems real for $4995.98 Melville New York
Received a letter and a check for the amount of $4995.98 in the mail.
Jack Williams stated that all you need to do is call the number with a claim # given in the letter.
When you call you will get tax information, but first you needed to send a money order or Western Union for the amount of $2995.00.
Sounds good but is a scam.

Glad to see this is just a public-service warning to everyone and you weren't a victim.
Everyone: this Western Union / Money Gram / money order / telegram / fake check thing is a REALLY OLD and really well-known scam. Please look it up. And remember, nobody is EVER going to send you money out of the blue!
