On May 9,2000 I purchased from Laurel Mountain Mustang a set of 3" long tube headers model TR9600 for $329.00. After I received them I found out from Mac, which is the manufacurer that a 3" system would not be good for my car. They recommened a 2 1/2" system.

I exchanged the 3" headers for the 2 1/2" headers model TR9625, which were more expensive by $38.00. Laurel Mountain charged me the additional $38.00 on June 2, 2000. At the time of the exchange I also wanted to order an H-pipe assembly from Laurel Mnt. They told me they were out of stock but would have it in a week or so. I waited a couple of weeks and called them back. They told me it shoud be in any day.

After waiting a couple of months and getting no results and empty promises I finally call the manufacturer. I was told they did not have any and would not be making them for a few more weeks. They told me if I was in a hurry to order them directly from them and it would take higher priority then if I ordered it through one of their distributors. I did that. Without the H-pipe the headers I received earlier would do me no good.

I needed both parts to complete the system. I waited a few more months before I received the H-pipe. When I took the parts to the mechanic to have them installed I was told one of the headers was no good. It had broken welds on the inside of the collector. I called the manufacturer, Mac Products and spoke to a gentleman named John. He told me he would send me another one.

After a few days he told me he was having difficulty finding a replacement. After a few more days he called and said he has a replacement that should work. When it came in I gave it to the mechanic. It was not the right part. I called the manufacturer and told him it was not the right part and I was tired of all the problems. I told him my mechanic needed to get my car out of his garage as it had been there a month and I wanted a refund and I was going to buy someone else's system. He apologized for all the problems and agreed to give me my money back. Mac credited me my money back for the H-pipe right away because I bought that directly from them. Mac said they would credit Laurel Mountain Mustang who is one of their distirbutors their money back and then Laurel Mountain would refund me my money back. Laurel Mountain got their money back from Mac Products but Laurel Mountain never gave me my money back.

Kevin, at Laurel Mountain is giving me the run around. Kevin said Capitol One did a chargeback on his account for $359.00 on August 19, 2000. He said Capitol One needs to give me the money back not him. (My records and Capitol One's records show a credit given to me for $269.00 on August 17, 2000 for a pro chamber we had bought and returned because it could not be used with the systems we bought. This is something entirely different and is a done deal).

I called Capitol One several time to dispute these charges. They told me to send them a letter which I did. Since the length in time this has been going on Capitol One could not help us get our money back. I returned the parts on January 24, 2001 to Mac Products. Laurel Mountain got his money from Mac on February 15, 2001. Here it is August 5, 2001 and I'm still waiting for my refund. I was charged on May 9, 2000 $329.99 and on June 2, 2000 $38.00 totaling $367.00 which I believe I am in my rights for a refund from Laurel Mountain.

He not only has my money but he also has the money he was credited from his own supplier. Kevin has done nothing but give me and the supplier the run around. I am writing to you with some hope that you will be able to help...

   I drove over and found your building closed permanently.  The folks at the corner store told me you are now working at the local salvage yard...We drove out there, spoke with your boss and located you.  Then I came back home and filed a report with my credit card company who is FDIC, (Federally Insured)  They refunded my money and are currently head hunting YOU!!!   Good Luck with the IRS and all the banks and credit card companies chasing you....You should be ashamed of yourself, maybe the guys in prison will enjoy you...

Kevin    You stated on one of your rebuttals that you do everything you can to help resolve issues and to call you personally.  I have now called 3 times and emailed you twice, everytime I call either line, it states I'm ringing in past business hours, it's 9 am  noon and 2:30 respectfully across 4 days.  NOTHING...No response from anyone....i IGNORED all the bad on the internet, because of the fabulous experience I had with my last purchase---Now you have my money and three weeks later I can not even get a text, email, letter, my parts or even a courtesy call as to the status of the order....

You're freaking me out!!!  I drove over from Dayton Ohio and purchased suspension kit and radiator, .you had to order radiator and you were out of stock on the upper control arms, but to just NOT RESPOND---I'm not feeling very WARM & FUZZY about this situation....  Please contact me to give me either the ETA of the arrival to me or a refund for my parts

horrible experience with them will never buy anything from them again. they sent me the wrong color interior paint had me arguing with them for a month and a half abut how they claim medium ivy gold is a gold color when in fact it is a darker more of a green color as every other restoration web site has it listed, and refused to refund me or even give me a credit. HORRIBLE bigness will never deal with them again!!! five thumbs down

this customer had recieved a charge back to his credit card for the amount of the parts he originally purchased, our company had checked with his credit card company by phone and fax.

its been quite some time since this sale had been processed, so recalling every detail is rather tough. but i do recall it somewhat, we generally have very little problems so i can pick this one out pretty easy.

from what i recall he did charge back his credit card for the parts and then called us to credit him back also, after explaining that we cannot credit him back while there was a chargeback in action the customer became very anoyed, we tried to explain to him how we could lose twice the amount doing it that way and there was a proper
procedure for this and we need to follow it!
i then remember being hung up on to never hear back from him again.

we always try to handle any ligitimate problem as
quick as we can to make the customer happy and we feel we have tried our best on this problem at this time, he should contact us if he still feels we owe him anything.
