To Whom It May Concern:

I entered into contract for a mortgage loan lead service. Laurence Groeger was to provide 50 leads which were to be my exclusive property. He put in writing that these customers would be prepared to receive my call. He guaranteed that the lead would take my call or he would replace the lead. He told me that he makes all the phone calls himself and that he used to do loans for a living. He had nice manners over the phone.

Back in April I made a move from one Mortgage Company to another. As not to slow down my momentum, I entered into a contract with Laurence Groeger to supply me with mortgage re-finance leads. The contract was drawn on May 9th2005. He insisted I pay through Pay Pal. I paid him $1700 through my Discover card. Two weeks into our contract, he told me his wife was having "health issues." He asked that he have some time off. I requested a refund at this time and he said that he was not in a position to issue a refund, however once his wife was better he would continue his service. Not wanting to come off a heartless jerk, I conceded. After a month I phoned him back and he continued to generate bogus leads.

Four of the leads did not speak English (I am finding it difficult to believe Laurence speaks three different languages).

One lead was a patient at a mental hospital who did not own property. Two of the leads were dulplicated (two instead of 4). Three leads were not real phone numbers and just kept ringing forever. Two numbers were disconnected. Seven people (who would actually speak with me) complained that they have had numerous phone calls daily, all requesting them to refinance. Some had refinanced months earlier, while others had inquired online and made the mistake of putting some of their personal information on line. Most of the personal information was "made-up" from what I have been able to find out. None of these people were called by Laurence Groeger. Nobody recognized his name. I E-mailed Laurence requested a full refund and told him to stop wasting my time.
