Lavish Skin, Derma Bright, Wrinke Eraser, Try Lav Skin, trylavishskin.com "TRY LAVISH SKIN" IS AN INTERNET RIPOFF SCAM!!! Santa Ana California
On December 1st 2014, I finished purchasing a different (legitimate, but now I can't remember which website) product online for my Christmas shopping when I was asked at the end of my purchase if I'd like to try a free sample of Lavish Skin Care Advanced Aging Serum if I pay $4.95 for shipping. Because my previous purchase was legit, I went ahead and clicked the "Rush my Free Trial" button. Then it asked if I'd like to add another one of their products, a Derma Bright eye cream for free for an additional $3.95 shipping cost and I thought, why not, and clicked that too. So on 12/1/2014 my credit card account was charged $4.95 for "TryLavSkin San Diego CA" and $3.95 for "Wrinkleraser Westminster CA". I did not notice until too late that they then charged me for $89.73 and $88.28 on December 15th, 2014. Once I did notice, I was pissed, but figured that there was some fine print I didn't see and got charged for the product anyway. I was going to forget about the whole thing and move on, but then a few days ago another shipment of both their Lavish Skin and Derma Bright eye cream arrived in the mail, even though I didn't order anything. I went online and found a ton of complaints against this company. I looked up my credit card account and found that they charged me again, $88.28 and $89.73 on January 14th, 2015. That's when I knew for sure I got screwed, so I called my credit card company Bank of America to complain and get my money back. The Bank of America representative called the company for me (Lavish Skin stated they were really two companies, so my Bank of America rep had to call two separate numbers for me) to resolve the dispute.
During this three-way call where I had a Bank of America rep listening in, I was told that this was a monthly subscription, that it was too late to recover the December purchases, but I had two options to get some of my money back for the January charges: 1) to mail it back for the refund, but I'd have to cover the postage cost, plus I'd lose $9.95 for a "restocking fee", and it might take 30 days for the credit to show up on my account, or 2) I could get 75% back if I did it over the phone now and it would get credited back in 15 days. At this point I din't trust the company at all and didn't trust that I'd get anything at all back if I mailed it back to them, so I opted for the 75% back. Then I had to do this all over again for the eye cream, because this company is claiming they're two separate companies, even though the same address is listed on both packages. Same two options. They said they cancelled my subscription. As of now, I still don't see the charges credited back to my account. Somebody's got to shut this company down. What they're doing is total BS but probably legit enough that they can get away with it long enough to make a decent amount of money before they shut down and run away with it. They're ads look slick, their is nicely packaged. They SUCK. They're probably laughing at all of us.
