I bought 2 LaZBoy Recliners( leather) its been about 3 years ago, I can't remember if I bought the warranty or not, but the reason I bought them is because I was told there is a lifetime warrranty on them.  the brochere they gave me says( LaZBoy Furniture Galleries has been carefully designed and individuallyt crafted by hand to provide you with years of beauty, comfort and durability...)  the chairs were over   $2,000.00. and we had them specially made to suit our needs. it took about 6 weeks to get them. after we had them for awhile they started to discolor all over the leather material, and the leather is really worn down and one has a hole in the material, along with tearing of the bottom of the chair. It makes me sick to know I paid that much money for these recliners since we wre told by the salesperson how well made and how long they would last.. they looks like something you wouldn't even put in your basement..  We bought these charis at the LaZboy Galleries in Glendale Arizona... I've bought much cheaper chairs and they lasted alot longer than these expensive recliners.

I put LaZboy complaint in the wrong category, it should be in the Specialty Stores Category..

No offense, but your complaint doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

You posted the complaint in "Department Stores & Outlets". Last time I checked, the La Z Boy stores in Arizona were neither.

You can't remember if you bought the warranty or not, but the reason you bought your chairs was because of a lifetime warranty. Huh? I am a proud owner of La Z Boy furniture, so this complaint made me curious. I pulled my La Z Boy warranty information from my file cabinet, and (paraphrasing) it says that "leather parts are warranted for 1 year against manufacturing or material defects. For directions on care or cleaning, visit www.la-z-boy.com/customercare/fabric_care.aspx . Improper cleaning/treatment voids your warranty."

You had your chairs specially made and it only took 6 weeks? That's pretty quick for custom order leather furniture.

After you had your chairs for a while, they started to discolor, the leather is worn down, and one has a hole in it?  What the heck are you doing to your chairs? Leather is NOT that easy to damage!

Have you ever attempted cleaning the chairs? Even wiping them off? As I said earlier, I am a proud owner of La Z Boy furniture and when I purchased my chairs, there are a few things that I distinctly remember my salesperson telling me. 1) Leather is very durable. 2) It isn't indestructable. 3) It still needs to be cleaned and cared for. You wouldn't go months or years without washing your hands or putting lotion on your hands, would you? 4) Wipe it down every few weeks. 5) The worst thing for leather is the dirt and oil from human skin. This is what dries out and cracks leather.

I'm no furniture expert, but I have owned La Z Boy furniture for years and due to my happiness with the product, I would say I'm a customer for life.

Have you done anything to see if your situation can be helped? Have you contacted the store? Have you talked to ANYBODY about this, or are you just openly complaining but too La Z to do anything about it?

Like I said in the beginning, no offense. But it sounds to me like you treat your furniture like crap. And when you treat your furniture like crap, it's gonna look like crap...no matter how well it's made.
