LDC Telecom LDC Telecom - Slamming phone lines and creating dummy 3rd party verification Clearwater, Florida

Charges for 2 of my 7 phone lines showed  up in January as being switched to another phone company that was effective on 12/14/11.  When I called Verizon, they stated that 2 of my lines had been switched.  I told them no, that I had not switched my long distance, and they realized that the 2 lines that were switched were the only 2 of my 7 phone numbers that were published.  Our main incoming phone line and our Fax phone number.

They immediately reversed the other Verizon charges, and removed LDC Telecom as the long distance phone company on those 2 lines.

When I called LDC telecom which all billing is being handled by ILD Teleservices, the person from ILD told me that they do not handle the billing services for LDC and that I needed to call 888-258-8958, which was an extremely rude woman, who was originally from Long Island NY residing in Florida.  I had to leave a voice mail and she called me back.  The total charges were for 64.11, of which she could only credit me 22.23.  She said she could not credit me for the  Taxes, local, state, and Federal Excise Taxes, and could not credit me for the Their LDC Monthly Fees, or LDCPICC charge on both lines.

I called Verizon, and they said I really did not need to call LDC, that they were handling it from this side.  I will see.  I have gotten the President of LDC Telecom name and address, which may be fraudulent, and it does appear that the FCC is investigating them and has been for years now.
The rude billing lady told me his name was Sean Connors.  LDC Telecom Inc. 2451 McMullin Booth Drive Suite 200 Clearwater, FL  33759.

Verizon told me that I am not responsible for any of those charges, and have given me an amount on my phone bill which is just for my normal charges.

Not sure how they are getting around the 3rd party independent verification, as I never say "YES" to anyone that calls in as a telemarketer.  If they know who I am, they would not ask to speak to speak to me, they would recognize my voice.

I can't believe that there are still companies getting away with this.  LDC Telecom goes under various different names, such as century and a few others.

LDC uses an independant 3rd party verification company

1. LDC uses an independent 3rd party verification company to verify new orders for each customer.

2. LDC carries it's customers calls on Century, and does not 'go' under this name or any other name than LDC Telecommunications.

3. You were provided a full credit for all calls billed by LDC and we are unable to credit local charges which were billed from Verizon.

Please accept our apology for 'the rude billing lady' who actually was a LDC customer service lady.  ILD provides billing services for LDC but not customer service, and it appears we need LDC's customer service to be more polite.
