Leaders, The Merchant Services Co. Raised monthly rates w/out notice, promises to credit but doesn't Calabasas California

Our account was automatically renewed in March. At that time they added a $25 per month "min discount" charge. I tried to cancel and they said I could only cancel my account on the anniversary date which would be next March and I would have to pay $380 to cancel early, basically the $38 monthly fee times 12 months.
I complained about the $25 charge and a supervisor told me in May that it would be credited and no longer charged. That did not happen.

I spoke to Cameron, a supervisor, in June who told me he would take care of the $25 charge and credit me for previous billings. Now it is July and the $25 charge is still on my latest statement.

After 20 minutes on hold just now, Daniel, a supervisor, tells me that they are going to refund my $100 in excess fees they have charged me. He said he personally signed off on my file when Cameron brought it to him. Daniel did not know why action had not been taken. I will have to wait until next months statement to find out if Daniel in fact fixed the account.

My bank has told me the only way to stop Leaders access to our business account is to close the account and open a new one.

I will let you know what happens but for now I plan to cancel prior to my anniversary date in March.

The merchant states their account automatically renewed itself in March, along with a $25.00 deduction from his account for monthly fees. The merchant contacted our Customer Care Department to cancel their account and was informed they would be charged an Early Termination Fee for cancelling after their anniversary date. The merchant is required to send a closing letter into our company 30 days before the contract's anniversary date, which is a standard procedure in our industry. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused the merchant however, all of this is clearly disclosed in the application signed by the merchant.

The merchant also states the $25.00 monthly minimum fee was to be waived and a refund was to be issued for the months of May and June. The merchant contacted our Customer Care Department in July to inform us these credits had not been issued, and now he was being charged for the month of July, as well. This was not handled as promised and LEADERS truly apologizes for our error and would like nothing more than to correct this situation without delay. But we cannot until we know who this merchant is.

If the merchant will call our Manager of Merchant Services, Corrie Fietsch at (877) 538-3377, we will endeavor to promptly remedy the concerns expressed by the merchant.
