Two years ago, my wife ordered "free" samples only to be billed about $90. She returned them and had to fight with them for over a month to get a refund. We thought we were done. Now two years later, upon checking my bank account online I found a pending charge for $74.95 from Leanrx. When you call the 800# listed the have an automated attendant that asks you to enter your credit card #. Yeah, right! I called the bank immediately because my wife never, ever uses her visa/debit card on that account for anything. The bank said they can't file a claim until the company actually receives the money. I went out of town over the weekend waiting to see if the charge clears so I can dispute it. Then over the weekend, another charge for $69.95, this time from xtremeburn shows up. Xtremeburn has the same 800# listed as leanrx, so they are obviously the same company. The bank advised me to cancel the visa/debit card since that is the only way they are charging my account and it will stop them from being able to continue this scam. Since both charges have now cleared, I now have a claim pending to recover my money. I'll let you know what heppens. Definitely, let me know if anyone gets a legal case or class action going agains these scam artists.
