LeanRX.net Rip off - My bank account was charged erroneously for $74.95 Nationwide Internet
On Jan. 11, 2007 my bank account was charged $74.95 by this bogus company. I did not order any products nor did I ever authorized this amount. I contacted my bank and they gave me the toll-free number for this company (1-866-882-3057)which I called and a recording asked for my card number. I did not enter it but went to my bank's main office and filed a fraudulent check card dispute which I was told would take 7-10 days so in the mean time 3 outstanding checks tried to clear my account and I was charged $32.00 each for a total of $96.00.
I have never had this situation before and I have banked with the same bank for several years with no problems but I was told that I would have to incur these charges because it wasn't a banking error or these possibly may be reversed when the bank completes its investigation but more than likely I will be out the $96.00.
This is such a SCAM by this company. I canceled my bank card and re-applied for a new one but am thinking about closing my account all together. I went on-line to the LeanRX.net web site and the only thing listed was an e-mail account so I decided to send an e-mail (support@leanrx.net)only to have it returned stating there was a problem with its delivery..........
If anyone knows how this can be resolved please let me know. There's got to be some way to stop this from happening again to me and all of the other people who have been slammed for charges from this company!
