This is my LearningRX testimony. It has been shared and will continue to be shared with friends, family and anyone else who we hear may be interested in the LearningRX experience.

BEWARE! My son just completed the 12 week program with LearningRX and I want to take this opportunity to issue a very adamant "beware!" to anyone considering this program.

During the initial visit, the problems were clearly defined as were the expected results if we should choose to participate in the program. My 13-year-old reads at college level but lacks organizational skills and his grades at school were suffering as a result. Also, his inability to focus and follow through when given a list of instructions caused him to consistently miss assignments and not be prepared for quizzes and tests in all of his school subjects. Although I have worked with him to set up several different systems to help with these issues, he lacks the motivation to be consistent in using any of them. All of this was discussed during the initial visit and assurances were given that the LearningRX program would make a difference in these problem areas. I was assured that a brain mapping/pattern deficit existed and that it could be fixed with drills at their facility coupled with follow-up home based training. Based on these assurances, the check was written and the sessions began.

Let me say from the start, the sessions at home were fully completed, challenging at times, but completed nonetheless. The drills primarily consist of repetition games with numbers and shapes for memory and problem solving. The key is repetition, please remember this point.

All sessions at the LearningRX location were completed in full, the home based hour requirements were met/surpassed and the exit testing was done. That is where the good news ends. If you are not familiar with the system, the entrance test and exit test is identical. LearningRX bases success on whether or not the person being trained moves beyond what they are initially able to complete on the test. For instance, if he/she is able to do 3 out of 8 steps on the test when he/she first takes the test, but completes 5 out of 8 when they complete all training, LearningRX has succeeded in helping the person. So, on paper and according to their guarantee, their program has worked. However, there was absolutely NO improvement in any of the areas that had been discussed during the initial visit! In fact, some grades were even worse while taking the training this was explained away as normal at the half-way review point.

When we went in for the exit conference, we made this very clear, even bringing in my son's latest report card with the teachers' comments showing that his organizational skills had not improved nor was he any more focused then he had been before Learning RX. The woman who did the exit interview went on and on about what their test had shown and couldn't understand why we weren't seeing the results they had promised. She used the word baffled to describe her shock. They also used statements our grandson made as he was doing fine at school and that he remembered his assignments today as proof that he was improving. These were taken before he would begin his session each day. A week after the exit interview we received a letter from them stating that their guarantee says that they promise that the child (or adult) will improve by two levels or they will refund the money. Well, of course their testing said that my child had done that..... even though there were no outward signs of any change. BEWARE..... if you have expectations, be sure they align with the stated outcomes of this guarantee or you will learn a very expensive lesson!
