Lease Finance Group - Northern Leasing Systems Scam artists charging $5000 for a $300 machine, harrassment and incorrect credit reporting Chicago Illinois
This company misrepresents the lease for a credit card machine to first time businesses, which is later found unbreakable. They charge $75.95 per month for 48 months for a credit card machine worth less than $500. They will not allow you to purchase it from them at a flat rate.
Even though the sales person leaves his card you are never able to reach him by phone again.
They overcharge and debit your checking account for unexplained fees. If your fee is a couple of days past due they make one to five harrassing phone calls per day and they send incorrect reports to the credit agencies to ruin your credit.
When you try to transfer the lease to another party it takes months to accomplish as they never follow through with anything. It takes so long they continue to charge you for leasing the machine you are no longer using and will not transfer the lease until you are paid in full.
A one time credit card payment was made and they continued to charge to my card the next month. I put in a dispute with the credit card company to have the money refunded. They also have a different balance due each time you call.
When you do call they transfer you to several different parties who either disconnect you or send you to the wrong "department". You get a different response from each person you talk to.

After my mother authorized one credit card payment to this company for me they continued to charge her card three more times until she had to cancel her credit card and have the credit card company file a charge of credit card fraud against Lease Finance Group. LFG also noted from caller ID the phone number to my mother's place of employment. On 1/24/08 someone called there looking for me and my mother took the call and asked that they not call her place of employment for my bill. When the caller said that he would make a note of that but that she could get one or two more calls. My mother said very emphatically that there would be NO more calls. That is when the caller started shouting obscenities at her and and called her a very obscene name. She reported both the fraud and the obscene call to the BBB and the police department and has now sent copies of all correspondence to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. This type of company needs to be stopped.

This company continues to make unauthorized charges on my parents credit card after one authorized payment. The account has been closed and my parents have filed a claim of credit card fraud through their credit card company.
This is a very unscrupulous business that operates under several different names all over the country. They prey on very small start up companies not familiar with such deceitful practices. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Chicago, IL.
