Leasecomm Corp; Galaxy Mall preys on those who are trying to help themselves via their network of deception Woburn Massachusetts
Leasecomm has/is part of a scam network. Leasecomm has affiliates (nationwide?) with lines of communication so as to deceive those who are trying to better themselves into walking into their scam. My case goes:
Sometime around April, 2001, I became involved in what seems to be a genuinely legitimate business, based in Utah. Within a month or so, I received another Utah based business opportunity invititation: then "Galaxy Mall." Hence, I assumed that there was perhaps some sort of affiliation: that I was furthering my venture. Hence, I sunk thousands into some exhorbitantly expensive web sites. In the process, I had to sign some sort of "lease agreement" from "Leasecomm Corp."
Roughly one year later, it was apparent that this "Galaxy Mall" venture was not worth it. Also, I recieved letters in the U.S. Mail implying that I could terminate the whole thing by doing nothing--that my overpriced "commerce" web sites would come down. Such was not the case. I had to go through some sort of procedure to have the sites taken down.
Since then, Leasecomm, which had been helping themselves to $132 per month, continued to do so. Shortly afterward, I had cause to change my bank account because another scam outfit began making unauthorized withdrawals. Subsequent to this, I received a phone call from an outfit which turned out to be Leasecomm. Leasecomm tricked me into giving out check card info. I was shocked when Leasecomm started accessing my new bank account. Hence, I cancelled my check card.
I sent Leasecomm (and their affiliate "Galaxy Mall") a certified letter with a return reciept request (according to the terms on Leasecomm's "agreement." I NEVER RECEIVED the return receipts--from Leasecomm nor "Galaxy Mall." Yet Leasecomm has nerve enough to send me bills in the mail.
Furthermore, the "lease" which I signed in 2001 (which in "non-cancelable") is essentially a make-believe lease: the agreement states that at the end of the lease, I may return all materials, etc. All I can do about this is to send them an emmpty envelope with the attention line: "returned lease materials" (or something to that effect.
Leasecomm really does prey on those who are trying to help themselves via their network of deception!

Apparently the Leasecomm people think they are entitled to do anything and everything stated on thier "non-cancelable" lease agreement. They have gone as far as to have looked up an alternative phone number to be able to talk to my immediate family. They left a mysterious phone message, telling someone from my immediate family about a matter which is "highly sensitive," that they must talk to me directly. They did not identify themselves. They included a reply phone number (an "800" number which I never seen before). On closer inpection, I observed that a "case number" regarding this "highly sensitive matter" was the same as the "account number" which Leasecomm has been using for my make-believe lease.
That is how Leasecomm operates. They play on, or attempt to play on your emotions so as to get you talking to them. I call this harassment.
