Back in mid september I called Lee and Cates main office (115 north Davis street) to make an (in shop appt) at the jax beach location to get my windshield replaced.I was told(lied to-by the person setting up the appt) that they supplied ALL the trim to go around my windshield.I the asked if "all" meant the top, sides and bottom.I was told, "yes".I went to the shop early one morning and was told the only trim that they supplied was to top trim.I was (by the person setting up appt) blantantly lied to.I was told that they had the hardware to reuse my side trim pieces.well, because of this (being lied to), I had to reschedule and go out and buy (from toyota dealership-0ver 80.00) a new bottom trim. The only reason I tolerated being lied to was that I was very busy(I own my own business) and they were the most convenient place (close to were I live).

When I went back (for "round 2), the windshield was removed and I was able to bust corrosion and apply(shop supplied) primer the bear metal(were I busted off the corrosion). No probelms with that (once corroded) spot.once the tech started to replace the windshiled, I discovered that the shop actually didnt have the necessary hardware (2nd time lied to) to replace the side and corner trims. So, they used the sealent to "glue" the side and corner trims(point of "no return".What could I do?).I figured if nothing leaked, fell off, and it was cosmetically sound, I was okay.I have since disovered that one of the corner pieces of the windsheild trim was put on "less than" proper.I wasnt gonna raise a stink (over something so minor).I drive a 1995 toyota truck, not a 2013 corvette. As long as it didnt leak.

Well , back on 4/2/2012 I noticed that there was some surface rust (on the opposite side of were the other rust had been busted) starting to form under/originate from under the windshield trim. This was primed. If this surface rust is not addressed, then it will become a problem and I will have to get another (not from Lee and Cates) windshield removed and replaced(in order to address the new  rust).

I am sure that the tech primered the metal properly, just that the primer didnt do (part of-preventing rust) what it was supposed to do.Primer and paint ARE corrosion preventors.I was in the NAVY for 5 years.I had to do many rust prevention (bust rust and primer and/or paint).I know corrosion prevention.

Why should I have to "eat" this because L and C woint stand behind thier work

I then emailed L and C was dismiseed (over again), by Mr. Mike Stevenson. He stated that this was NOT going to be warrantied.L and C doesnt mind taking my 224.00, but doesnt want to stand behind thier work.

My advice (to all) is to NOT do business with L and C auto glass.Doesnt look like I am going to get this taken care of (warrantied), but if I can cost L and c one job, I have cost them at least what they cost me.
