I filled out several online applications for payday or personal loans. I received a text from a Texas number saying I had been approved for a 5,000 loan. I didn't believe it because my credit is not good but I called them back anyway. It went to a voicemail saying the company was Quick Cask Loans. I left a message and a man called me back saying he was from the company and he said I was approved for $5,000 even though I never requested that amount. I told him I only wanted $1,000 and he said I would be paying back $78 for 36 months and would that be ok. I said ok even though that was a really high interest rate. He proceeded to tell me they needed to access my account to deposit a amount that I would have to return to them. I didn't fully understand this and I thought he was talking about depositing a small amount less than $1 to verify my account. I gave him this information. Fortunately for me the bank would not let him do this because my account was new. He then said that I could just send him $150 for some kind of loan fee and I could do it this way. I had a few more conversations with him and he kept telling me a different amount to send them. From $150 to $50 and then he said $70. He kept asking for my personal information like my Social, Date of Birth, Address, Email, and they wanted to access my accounts. This is ABSOLUTELY a scam.
