Responded to a Craigslist advertisement for a used car sale in "excellent condition". Met up with Barney Nick Lee and Ruby George.
Nick said we cannot test drive the car too far as his grandson is in the hospital and him and his wife needed to leave ASAP. Seeing how they were having a family emergency we took the car for a 5 minutes test drive.
Upon returning the car, Nick took our money $3,900, gave us the pink slip and all of a sudden ran back to his van and speed off, leaving us scratching our heads. Reviewing the pink slip, we noticed the title owner's name were not theirs.
We decided to drive the car home, only to realize once the car warms up it started to shake and required a tow truck. Calls to Nick were unanswered.
After some internet investigation, we found the real title owners on Facebook. Apparently, Barney Nick Lee and Ruby George operating as Lee's Auto Body took this car from the owners "for cleaning and detailing" and sold it to us for $3,900. They later gave the owners $900 as compensation, pocketing $3,000 in fraud money.
After reading other Ripoff Reports about this company and these individuals, be very careful dealing.
