Lee's Vintage Vine Collectables silver coins, refused to deliver, failed to refund, consumer fraud Holbrook New York
On January 3, 2017, Lee's representative offerd by telephone to sell rolls of Franklin Half Dollar coins at a very reasonable price if I remitted immediately by check. Check for $1500 cleared January 9, 2017. I telephoned the company representative on Jan. 9 and was told coins would ship today. As of January 17, no coins received.
I then called the rep on his cell phone, no answer. Called Lee's cust. service number, Person answering said nothing has been shipped to me, would check and call me right back, declined to give his name. After several hours, I called again, no answer. Left voice mail, no return call. Called Jan. 18, no answer, left voice mail. No return call.
Sent customer contact form from Lee's website seeking immediate delivery of coins. "Frank" who said he was owner's husband called me and stated price quoted was not authorized and no coins would ship. Said they would send refund. On January 24, I e-mailed Frank asking where refund was. Jan. 25 returrn e-mail said check would be mailed today. Jan. 30, still no check, e-mailed again, return e-mail said check was mailed Friday, Jan.27. and he offered a wire transfer. (That indicates no check was sent.) I declined the wire transfer, as I have no trust to give them bank information. As of February 17, 2017, no refund has been received.
I have also filed a consurer fraud complaint with the Suffolk County office of the NY Attorney General.

Following complaints filed with NY attny. General and FTC (Interstate telemarketing Fraud). The vendor refunded the full amount.
