Complaint Review: Lee Scheidler

Please see the Rip-off Report under my name, Anne Blackman, and be sure to read all of it.  Evidently he has managed to get my original report deleted.

I was a Houston Homeowner whose roof was damaged during the Ike Hurricane.  This man sent his salesman, David Longoria, to my home to give me a bid and subsequently met my adjuster from State Farm on my roof.  He took all the credit for getting my roof approved, but the hurricane had blown so much debris under the shingles it was a no-brainer.  After the roof was approved for replacement I decided to do my due diligence before giving Lee Scheidler the final ok to do my job because he had shown up on my property talking loud, using bad language and dishelved.  He told me about living with his girlfriend behind a gated complex and turned out not to have a good mailing address. 

After reading all the bad reports about him I called his salesman and told him I would not give them the job and I mailed a recision form to the only address I had which was promptly returned as undeliverable.  He waited over a month for the new company to put my roof on and then as soon as it was finished he filed a fraudulent lien against my property saying materials had been delivered and I owed him $20,000 for a roof that was only approved for $14,000.  Not true, no materials had been delivered and no work had ever been performed.

I was fortunate enough to have several attornies in my family and the lien was eventually deemed invalid and fraudulent, and was removed.   I filed reports with BBB and Rip-Off.  In doing so I had quite a few local people contact me to say he had done the same to him and what could they do about it. They all wanted to know if I knew where he was.

All I can say is BEWARE and DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE before you sign anything attached to his name.  You will not see my name on any other rip off reports except for his.  He is vengeful and will go to any lengths to cause you trouble.
