I received an invoice from Legacy Billing Service for $7.28 for a call I never received. I immediately called and a miracle occured and I was able to talk to a person. I was told that some unknown person may have placed a collect call to my home. Legacy was never able to tell me who placed the call or who received the call. No one was home at the time Legacy said the call was placed.

Legacy said two minutes is the minimum period of time they will bill, so apprently even if the call was 5 seconds they bill for two minutes. I sent Legacy a certifed letter and received a from letter in reply with no number to contact Legacy.

A few months later I received a final notice and was told to pay or else I would be turned over to a collection agency and my credit would be damaged.

The ironic thing is while I was waiting on hold Legacy's recording go on at great length about their excellent customer service. Legacy has the poorest customer service of any company I have had the misfortune of deaing with in quite some time.
