I always take out insurance on Credit cards as you never know what is going to happen. In this care Legacy General Insurance Company is nothing but a rip and a company you cannot trust to pay out when the time of need comes. I have several credit cards which have the same coverage by other insurance companies each one has payed out as expected with the exception of Legacy General Insurance Company. I have been working in the insurance industry for 14 years and until now I have never experienced a total disregard for the customer as I have with Legacy General Insurance Company.

In talking with the company their phone staffs are nasty and belligerent. They are not to be trusted and I am currently checking all my holdings to see if Legacy General Insurance Company is involved if so I will cancel anything this company is associated to.
I payed my dues and had a year contract with a government agency.

In January of this year due to budget claw backs my contract was cancel due to the economy. I received a letter from Legacy General Insurance Company stating my claim has been refused. They used the wording of temporary as I was only at the company for 3 months. Every other credit card insurance has followed through on providing the benefits I work for 3.5 months at 37.5 hours per week everything within the requirements. Due to being a union shop the agency has to refer to employee who are non-union as temporary, this employee's are working fulltime hours and pay fulltime deductions and are provided with Vacation time also. Legacy General Insurance Company decided that the name temporary means don't pay. In calling the company to find out why they did not provided the benefit I payed for they were nasty and did not allow for any normal discussion.

I called up Capital One and complained, I payed off the full amount of the credit card and canceled the card and provided the reason being not having any trust with their insurance provider.

Insurance coverage is for times like these it is a disgrace that Legacy General Insurance Company is allowed to charge for services it has no intention to pay.
Thanks to UI I could pay the balance off and get rid of these vultures.
