We were billed $37.14 for a 3-minute collect call from a payphone that we definitely did not accept.  The charge appeared on our AT&T bill, "billed on behalf of Legacy LD Intl.  We called Legacy and got an incredible bunch of Slick Willy b.s. but no proof that such a call was ever accepted (we never accept collect calls, which we sometimes get from convicts) and no satisfaction at all. Stonewalled.  Since the charge appeared on the AT&T bill, we called AT&T, and the service rep was understanding once we gave her the facts, and reversed the charges. It may have helped that we also have cell phone, internet and UVerse service from ATT. We suggested that AT&T look at the comment about Legacy and terminate their relationship.  A charge of $37.14 for a legitimate 3 minute collect call highway robbery--even if it was legit.
