The Legacy recording says there is a 50 cent surcharge, but they billed me over $140 and it took six attempts.  I got through just once and it cost $40 for a one call.  They also charged for every attempted that never connected, over $20 for each one.  All of us in line thought it would be 50 cents per call.  The recording led us to believe that.  I was in the mountains in New Mexico (Gila Forest), and no cell signal, so I used the only phone booth around. The phone would not accept change.  I tried to pay with change numerous times, but it would not work.  Gee....now I know why.  It was so they could get my credit card number.  Watch out for pay phones that won't accept change and force you to use a credit card.
