My best friend received a phone call from a man by the name of investigator Swanson who stated that she needed to get a hold of me because there was a warrant for my arrest because of a payday loan that was $500.00- i returned his phone call the next day and he told me that if I did'nt send a payment in that day a warrant for my arrest would be issued.

I went straight to the store to do a money gram because he said it was the only way I could pay it. I sent him $75.00- I then received another call just 2 weeks later from the same man he told me that I had to send in the remaining balance that day or i would be extradited to Austin TX from Reno Nv to serve my time. I could'nt afford to do this so I took my chances and did'nt send a payment hoping somehow I could work this out.

A week later I get another phone call this time by a man who said he was investigator Mark Stern. He said that he had taken over my case, and this was my last chance to redeem myself. He said that I owed $503.71 I then asked how that could be considering I had sent in a 75.00 payment so the balance should of went down he had no answer for me and said i had to pay 75.00 a week til paid off and i will receive a letter to show full restitution had been paid and not to miss even one payment or it would go to the courts for warrant.

He said to call and leave a mess with the conformation # after i sent the moneygram. I could'nt make the payment til the next week and when i went to call him the phone # which i had called several times was disconnected.

I called directory assistance they had no listing so i got online googled the name of this place and it went right to all these complaints regarding this so called company. I thank god for that because i've been worried sick that i was going to jail in Tx hundreds of miles away from my family. They also gave me 2 different account numbers to use when sending my payment, I noticed this just today.

They are terrible people that use awful scare tactics, harrasing threating phone calls to friends, family and im sure who ever else they can and that is just not right!!

Check with a Constable's office to see if there REALLY IS A WARRANT out for you!

How the crooked shysters like to prey upon people who are ignorant of how law enforcement works!

Well, I have cops in my family including DEPUTY CONSTABLES!

You say you are from Nevada and you guys probably have deputy constables up there too. I don't know how your legal system works but I DO know that you can go on the Travis County, Texas website to SEE IF there is a real warrant out for your arrest.

HOW DID THIS A** GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER ANYWAY?

Sounds like to me you need to get an unlisted, unpublished number or CHANGE cell phones out every year or so and make it impossible for them to get your phone number. I do.

By the way, if you want to see if you have a warrant out on you in Texas in Travis County --and that is called a 10-99 incidentally in our police ten-code vocabulary, 10-98 in some, you need to go to the switchboard site and get the number for Travis County Precinct Five Constable's office, They would rather have your money than you in jail. It is a legitimate job of a constable to make you pay so they put the warrant out and ANY peace Officer in ANY jurisdiction, ouit of state or not, will be able to pick you up and hold you in jail until they can decide if they want to come and get you.

BUT you want to check and see if there is a warrant out for you in the first place before you send ANY check or payment. It could be a SCAM!

It's a long-distance call but it is worth your peace of mind. And it will save you some money...
