 I used this "company" to put together a 501c3 packet for me. I used their service because I am a brand new non-profit and they were very cheap, cheap being the key word here. I turned them into the BBB and they failed to respond until their time was up and they got a notice from the BBB that this would affect their score. So Erika from Legalzoom.com gets ahold of me and offered me a partial refund and said that they would fix the multiple errors they had in my paperwork. They did issue me a partial refund. However, they have not fixed any of their errors.

This company is a joke and I would recommend anyone wanting to file any papers having to do with corporations, LLCs, non-profits or 501c3 that they just hire real attorneys. The people that work at Legal zoom are not attorneys as they claim. They are not even paralegals. If you have any doubt just call and ask. Don’t be a fool like I was and just hand your money over. I filled for expedited 501c3 paper work at the end of January with a guarantee of 7 days; they mailed my incomplete paperwork out to me in the beginning of March.

For my troubles they were supposed to fix it, they lied. I would only send my worst enemy to these people just to watch them suffer the way I had to for months. The staff is rude and unknowledgeable of anything pertaining to the law. I find this ironic since their name is Legal zoom. If you ever have a problem they pass you through the phone system until you end up being disconnected. If you go with these people good luck, but remember, they are on the rip-off report for a reason.

Legal zoom has been promising me resolution of this matter for months now. If you would like documentation of that I would be more than happy to post that on this web site. I would also be more than happy to also post your incomplete paperwork on this web site. We had a case through the BBB in which Legal zoom agreed to fix the errors in my paperwork if I would drop the case against them. So I did and Legal zoom said they did not have all of my paperwork that is why my 501c3 package was incomplete. Why didn’t they ask for it months ago instead of sending me incomplete documents?

So, I faxed my Articles of Incorporation to them, and guess what nothing. Just like the previous months I have not heard from Legal zoom again. Legal zoom seems to spend more time putting out fires then helping customers. If Legal zoom had happy customers in the first place and did their job correctly the first time I am will to bet there would be far less complaints. I know I never would have contacted the BBB or filed a complaint with Rip off Report.

Just to let it be known this is the first time in my life I have ever felt like I have been ripped off so bad that I have filed a complaint with the BBB and then wrote a Ripoff Report. I plan on following this to the end until I get justice. I will not take any more lies or excuses from legal zoom. They have their 60 day money back guarantee. I want them to honor that. I do not see that as being unfair. Legal zoom wants a copy of my contract......go to their own web page. ”If you're not satisfied, simply call us toll-free at (800) 773-0888 during our normal business hours.

All requests made under this guarantee must be made within 60 days of purchase. We will process your request within 5 business days after we've received all of the documents and materials sent to you."   I have done everything that their guarantee asks for twice now. I will not do it a third. I have e-mails promising that legal zoom will remedy this situation, and they were prior to the 60 days. I don’t know if they think that if they prolong this I will go away, wrong. I won’t go away. I will file more complaints and I will make sure everyone knows of my experience.  Bad business is bad business.
