Twice, via their website, I contacted Legalzoom to ask for the best way to setup a business, based on future plans for expansion into several states, and, options for sale of stock in the future.  No one ever got back to me.  So, how could you trust a company that does not answer questions, and, risks losing business?  Not very professional!

I think you're missing the point here. It may not be their job to draw up business plans, but it is their job to answer questions and assist customers in the use of their products. It's a service EVERY company should provide. I really don't see how it's "immature" to expect fair treatment and respect when you're about to hand over hundreds of dollars. While I do agree with you on your suggestion of going to a local attorney rather than LegalZoom when it comes to business documents (they're just too important, and need to be fine-tuned) the fact still remains that LegalZoom supposedly provides LLC and Inc. documentation, and they file it for you as well.

This customer's questions were completely legitimate and they shouldn't have been ignored. If the situation was too complex for LegalZoom to handle then they should have at least sent a short response saying so. Even a form letter is better than nothing, and all that takes is a few mouse clicks, so there's no excuse. It's ridiculously rude to just ignore a potential customer no matter the reason. I agree with the OP that their treatment was uncalled for. It's a matter of customer service, plain and simple, and it's not that hard of a concept to understand, so I'm not sure why LegalZoom seems to be having so much difficulty with it.

They handle the basic of legal paperwork. The questions you are asking about would be better suited towards a lawyer the specializes in business. To invalidate what they do because they couldnt answer your question is HIGHLY immature of you. So either they dont have the answer or dont know it. Its not their job to plan out your business venture.
