I was looking into using legalzoom to open up an LLC but was not sure what state I needed it in. I was going through the process online and had sumbitted it. I called legalzoom to place my order on hold and to have them NOT submit it to the state becuase I was still unsure what State I was going to open the LLC in. A week later I received a packet in the mail from legalzoom with my already filed LLC. I called and they told me it wasnt their problem and I would have to pay an ADDITIONAl fee to reverse the process after they already charge my credit card $500. I cantacted multiple times to try to resolve this and they will not help other than offering me to pay an additional fee. RIP OFF!!

We apologize for the poor experience you had while transacting business with our organization. It is LegalZoom's goal to provide its valued Customers, such as you are, with exceptional service during every interaction. Your comments and experience are important to us and we appreciate and welcome your feedback. Please be reassured that we will forward your comments to review our operations and determine where improvements need to be made.

In reviewing your order, the purchase of the Florida LLC was processed online and there is no record of a subsequent order hold request via email or by phone. Unfortunately we do not offer any HOLD option on the questionnaire and once the terms of service are accepted & payment is made, the order begins processing immediately. We do not imply online that the order will be held after payment is submitted but I do apologize if this was misunderstood in any way. I do show record of a call made to our customer care department by Anthony Danese on 4/16/14 where he was advised of the turnaround time for order completion.

He also advised us during this call that he would be filing for the business license on his own.  The LLC registration order total was $342.95 and your online questionnaire also indicated you choose LegalZoom to serve as the registered agent which comes with a yearly fee of $159.00. If you no longer wish to have your Florida LLC, you will need to dissolve it with the state. You can dissolve on your own and avoid any LegalZoom processing fees or we can assist you. We will not be able to dissolve the LLC free of charges, but I am willing to offer a 20% discount off the LegalZoom fee. Please let me know how you wish to proceed.
